Mathura
Mathura is a sacred city in Uttar Pradesh, northern India. The deity Lord Krishna is said to have been born on the site of Sri Krishna Janma Bhoomi, a Hindu temple. Dotting the Yamuna River are 25 ghats (flights of steps down to the water), of which Vishram Ghat is considered the holiest. Sati Burj is a 16th-century memorial tower. Dwarkadhish Temple has a carved entrance and a black-marble idol of Lord Krishna.

- Dwarkadhish Temple The Dwarkadhish temple, touted as one of the holiest temples in the city of Mathura, is famous all over the country for its elaborate architecture and paintings. Built only in the year 1814, the temple is relatively new but has managed to gain the scared impression
- Ghats Multiple theerthams present here are well known as ghats with 25 of them present today in Mathura are related to Lord Krishna. It is believed that performance of certain rituals here can get rid one of all past wrongdoings and hence is visited by numerous devotees.
- Gita Mandir True to its name, the Gita Mandir features inscriptions of the holy book in and around the surroundings of the temple. A magnificent idol of Lord Krishna is housed in this temple along with Lakshmi Narayana, Ram and Sita. Intricate carvings and paintings are seen within the temple premises.
- Govardhan Hill Govardhan Hill is an 8km long hill range near Vrindavan that is considered sacred for Vaishnavas. Mythology has it that Krishna challenged penance for Indra and an enraged Indra flooded the village.
- Jama Masjid The Jama Masjid was constructed in the year 1661 by Nabir Khan, the Governor of Aurangzeb. With its four minarets and mosaic plastering along with the marvelous carvings, this structure leaves one spell bound with its beauty.
- Sri Krishna Janmabhoomi Temple Complex It is believed that this temple is situated at the place where Lord Krishna was born and the result of many excavations has tried to prove this belief.
